The Garmin Nüvi 350 is a GPS navigator. It does have some great features like a built in mp3 player and a digital photo album. I love that you can type in the name of any place you can think of and it will not only tell you how to get there but also give you the phone number and arrival time. Simple and Easy to use!! When i go on business trips and I need a rental car I always make sure I get the GPS with it. This GPS is the one that is offered at Enterprise (I believe, I'm pretty sure, the rental company is slipping my mind.) and it's not very expensive to rent. ...would want in a GPS. Garmin 350 came out on top, surprisingly over it's new and improved 360 model. Tom-Tom and Magellan were also on my short list with magellan dropping out rapidly. as for fast satellite acquisition time...you will travel 3 or 4 miles before acquiring the maps, now is that quick enough for you? It works for me since I drive from a small town to a larger town regularly, I pretty much don't need "Instantaneous" mapping. Reception ...

As for a GPS that can do it's job .... the 350 is a fine example of technology at its best. on a scale of 1-10, it gets a very SOLID 8.5.
