The Garmin GPSMAP 60 CSx is the extended Version of the GPSMAP 60 Cx. While the case is same size and format, the CSx shows up with a barometric altimeter and an electronic compass. I use it for several purposes. Traveling statistics, autorouting, topo/directions and waypoint navigation are those functions I mainly use. The intuitive interface helps to use the software without having to read the manual.
A basemap is installed ex factory, with the ... ...on 'bad roads'). Unfortunately, Garmin doesn't offer a mounting for motocycles, so I had to get a 3rd party retainer from Europe (Touratech)
The CSx 60 runs with 2AA batteries. Using powercables (not delivered), the device is able to run with external powersources (carbatteries) and is also able to deal with AA-rechargable batteries (has to be activated if you want to use it). This Carmin Nuvi 760 GPS receiver is one of the best GPS systems I have ever used. When You got off the track it has assigned for you it will say recalculating corse and make up a different path for you to go the same way you were sopose to go. The path colors are a very important part of this GPS.
