As you read this remember that I live in Florida and we know a/c's!!! LOL Due to the hurricianes of 2005 I lost my central air unit and have to use window units to cool this place. I have a nice one in my bedroom and had an older version of the same model in the den. It has since passed on <<lowers head in tribute to dead a/c> But I needed a new one and went and got this Fridgedaire. The price seemed right and although it isnt a huge unit, it seemed to be right size for my small den. Well I took it back! It ran and ran and sounded like it was struggling and it barely even took the heat off the room, let alone made it cool. I was terribly disappointed with this unit. My den is but 7 foot by 7 foot room and it wouldnt cool it?? It is possible just this unit was bad, but I returned it and shant buy anymore from this brand. A real let down. Plus today I got the electric bill for last month, It was horrible on electric. My bill jumped 20 bucks and I only used this unit for 3 weeks maybe. Oh well, we live, we learn!
