I have 2 Frigidaire FAM186R2A air conditioners; one is in my kitchen window, and the other is in the living room. The Frigidaire FAM186R2A are very good air conditioners. The air conditioner in the kitchen cools half the house, and the air conditioner in the living room cools the rest of the house. I use the remote controls, so I don't have to fiddle with it to turn it on and off.
I live in an old house, and it is all open. One room opens into the next, so there is a lot of area to cool. This model of air conditioner does the job, and then some. During warmer weather, I set them so they would turn on and off with the thermostat. I like this brand of air conditioner, and I would recommend everyone to get one, if they don't have central Air.
