Freecell
Review of FreeCell (PC) by englishdude

Advantages: It's free (with windows)
Disadvantages: hard, basic graphics

Freecell is one of the games that come with your computer (if you want it to or not), alongside hearts, pinball and the such. The aim of the game is to sort out the cards enough (getting them in order) so that you can place them, in the right order, on the top right hand corner. In your top left hand corner, you can place up to four cards, for ease of moving cards around. If you cannot make any more moves, the game is over, and you lose, (but you ... Read review

A free cell, quick!
Review of Free Cell (PC) by biker2000 taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Quite fun when you're in a thinking state of mind.
Disadvantages Very hard sometimes. Actually most of the time.

...FreeCell is a tricky little game and unless you knew how to play or read the instructions you’d be there forever trying to work it out. I’m not kidding and you’ll find that it’s just as tricky to actually play it and this is once you know how. FreeCell usually comes as one of the preset games in your computer when you buy it along with Solitaire, Hearts and Minesweeper although there are some variations to which you get. FreeCell is by far the most difficult to complete. The FreeCell game board is made up of eight columns made up of a mixed up pack of playing cards. Then on the top left, you have four free spaces or cells hence the name and four free cells on the top right. The object of the game is similar to Solitaire and you need to end up with four stacks of each suit in order from Ace to King at the end to win. It’s harder than... Read review

...FreeCell was the best thing about my last job! Lunch hours spent playing this highly addictive card game. There are hundreds of game set ups and once you get the hang of the game you don't want to stop. FreeCell tends to be one of the four games which come as standard on a PC (with Minesweeper, Solitaire and Hearts) and is a real challenge. One thing though - don't give up if it doesn't work for a while - once you get there there is a real buzz that you have solved it!... Read review

Addictive and Infuriating
Review of Free Cell (PC) by abcdef taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages challenging, unusual
Disadvantages Too challenging?

...Free cell is a type of patience game and is one of the games you get bundled up with your windows program so it is installed on your computer already. This 'card' game is quite difficult and it takes a while to get into, but once you have worked out what you are doing it can become addictive. Free Cell is both infuriating yet enjoyable and the object of the game is to 'work out' all the cards, like in patience. All the deck is dealt across the screen face up and apart from the dealt cards there are 8 boxes to the top left and right of screen; 4 for your aces .. you work out from the aces upwards, and 4 'free cells' where you can put certain cards out of the way to free other cards. Cards should be placed red black red black and in number order. When you have an ace at the end of a row, you put it up to the ace space, and add 2, 3... Read review
