Arnie Vs the forces of evil again
Review of End Of Days (DVD) by Plissken taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Gabriel Byrne
Disadvantages Arnold Schwarzenegger

...After a fair lay off, Arnie's back - and so's the Devil. But who's been around longest? Well, when 'End of Days' finally shuns it's Seven/Omen style gloominess and our monosyllabic hero decides to take on Beelzebub with - what a surprise! - a bunch of very big guns, it seems like the Arnie action formula has been around longer than the Old Testament. The pre-millenial tension plot involves Arnie protecting a virgin from the Devil (Gabriel Byrne), who needs to bed her before the turn of the millenium. That's all you need to know. The first hour or so has some promising and even surprising moments. Here we see Arnie crying as his ridiculously monikered hero suffers a massive lapse of faith, and Arnie slapped around by a portly middle aged woman. The whole thing feels like a curious mix of popular hits since Arnie last waved an Uzi... Read review

Almost as funny as The Fifth Elephant
Review of The Fifth Element (Wide Screen) by Defiler taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Action, comedy and Sci-fi all in one movie
Disadvantages Will not appeal to all tastes

Mixing Action, Comedy & Science-Fiction, this really is an excellent film to watch. Being a fan of all these types of films does help a lot though, however even if you only like action or comedy you should find something you like here (although I personally know people who think... Brilliant new film
Review of The Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers (DVD) by parker-munn taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages Many good ones.
Disadvantages Couldn't find many.

...film of this trilogy, "The Fellowship Of The Ring", I thought set very high standards, including scenic effects and special effects of monumental stature. I found I was not disappointed in this second film and eagerly await the third. The action started from where Gandalf the Wizard (Ian McKellan) had plunged, apparently to his destruction, down an abyss with a Balrog, an extremely evil and dangerous being fighting for the forces of evil pursuing the ring bearer (Frodo the Hobbit played by Elijah Wood)) and his companions. The fantasy world created by Tolkien involves hobbits, dwarves, elves, wizards, humans, orcs and various other creatures. This story tells how a powerful, evil magic ring of power is taken by a relatively unknown creature, a hobbit, to be cast into the fires of the most evil place, Mount Doom. This would neutralise...
