Advantages: Multi-purpose, easy to clean, saves time Disadvantages: Takes up counter space, only one speed
This classic machine does so much. When I was shopping for a food processor, I knew I wanted a Cuisinart. It does so many things, it seems like I never use it enough.
I've used mine to make pesto, pasta dough, sauces, grate large amounts of cheese (using the grating blade), turning crackers into cracker crumbs, and marinades. I've heard you can even use it to make pie dough and turn granulated sugar into powdered sugar.
The case is easy to clean ... ...can be put in the dishwasher. Be careful with the blades though, they are all really sharp.
One handy little thing is the pusher for the feed tube. There's a little hole in it which is great for making salad dressings, as it controls the speed of the oil you're adding, making sure it doesn't get added too quickly.
Simple to use switch - on, off, pulse. Easy! ...

Advantages: easy to use and clean Disadvantages: sometimes pain to put back together
This is a time saver!! Plus it is especially useful for someone like me, who has arthritis in my hands. Sometimes chopping or dicing and even mixing can be painful. This unit is a great unit as it isnt huge... but the 7 cup size, makes it just right for most recipes. It isnt oversized, thus less cleanup after the fact. I found it very easy to use and not to bad to clean. I would however read the instructions the first time you take it apart to clean ...

Advantages: quick, easy, and fun to use Disadvantages: storage
Well for someone who doesn't like to cook I sure use this kitchen gadget an awful lot. I love it!!! It will slice or grate anything you put into it. It only takes just a few seconds to thinly slice a cucumber or grate a potato. It is so much fun to use my husband and I fight over who uses it, and then we fight over who has to clean it. All kidding aside, it is pretty easy to clean. It has 4 speeds and seems powerful enough. It also has suction cups ...

Advantages: Chops Onions, Peppers, Tomatoes, Etc. and is Cheap Disadvantages: A Little Loud
...now a huge fan of Hamilton Beach products. I have their coffee maker and love it. So, when it was time for a new chopper, I decided to get this Hamilton Beach. I've been very pleased with it. It is super affordable. It is a little loud and does startle the baby. I use it mainly to chop tomatoes and onions for chili and salsa and it does a great job of dicing them into just the right size. One day when I used it on canned tomatoes it leaked really ... ...that I had not screwed it into the locking position correctly. Once I figured out how to lock it in place right, I never had another problem again. So far it's handled onions, tomatoes, peppers of all kinds, apples, cucumbers, and pickles. It makes preparing salsas, relishes, and chicken salad a breeze. ...
