Things I Used to Chop by Hand I Now Throw in Here
Review of Hamilton Beach 72600 by thrivingmom

Advantages: Chops Onions, Peppers, Tomatoes, Etc. and is Cheap
Disadvantages: A Little Loud

...now a huge fan of Hamilton Beach products. I have their coffee maker and love it. So, when it was time for a new chopper, I decided to get this Hamilton Beach. I've been very pleased with it. It is super affordable. It is a little loud and does startle the baby. I use it mainly to chop tomatoes and onions for chili and salsa and it does a great job of dicing them into just the right size. One day when I used it on canned tomatoes it leaked really ...
...that I had not screwed it into the locking position correctly. Once I figured out how to lock it in place right, I never had another problem again. So far it's handled onions, tomatoes, peppers of all kinds, apples, cucumbers, and pickles. It makes preparing salsas, relishes, and chicken salad a breeze. ... Read review

chops food really good
Review of Black & Decker HC306 by stonecold

Advantages: easy to use, chops fast, easy to clean
Disadvantages: n/a

I bought one of these for my wife about six months ago and it really comes in handy. She can make nice creamy slaw for me and use it to chop up carrots and all for her stew. The sound is pretty loud though. Every time she uses it she makes our daughter jump. It is very easy to use and pretty easy to clean. But you have to be carefully washing it because the blade is really sharp. It doesn't take long to chop things up and it has different kind of ... Read review

Easy on the fingers, hard on the wrist.
Review of Progressive GFC-99 by schellsr

Advantages: Convienient
Disadvantages: hand driven

Have you ever tried to chop up your vegetables like the pros on t.v.? Well, now you can with a little effort ,you will be able to have those precise chopped vegetables. Precise is a little far-fetched, okay. I have used this machine but not very often. Despite the fact that it is SIMPLE, I have a bad wrsit and it does not like having to pressdown on this contraption. I like making seven layer salads. This machine ,I thought would help in the ...
...to be useful yet, you do not get the convience of electric, you have to manually chop. It does do a few things though, -keeps all you chop in a neat place -keeps smelly onions away from fingers -easy clean up(watch the chopping blades, will cut) -easier than hand cutting(works wrist and palms of hands, not fingers) The size of pieces of vegetables would be half an medium onion, one small tomatoe, etc, that you could start with. I usually get ... Read review

Advantages: everything

...big deal anymore. In comes KitchenAid KFP750CR and out goes all the tedious hours you spend cooking. Functions - This little machine is literally jam-packed with functions. It can grate, chop, slice or shred almost all kinds of cheese, vegetable and fruit. There's this disc that help you chop things very finely - perfect little thing slices ideal for dishes and fancy cooking. There's also a small bowl with blades that is perfect for mixing and chopping. ...
...a smaller bowl, so no matter how much you want to make, there will hardly be too much extra or not enough for the guests. Aside from those rather normal functions, the thing that makes it stand out is that there's a dough blade. Just push the button and the whole tiring process of kneading dough for bread will go out the window. Cleaning - Extremely easy to clean. One swipe with a wet washcloth will leave the whole machine shining. The buttons are ... Read review

KitchenAid KFP750CR - Your Kitchen will thank you
Review of KitchenAid KFP750CR by JohnA

Advantages: Everything
Disadvantages: nothing

...with the purchase of this KitchenAid KFP750CR by my wife. Well let me start the review by going over what I think is the downside of this machine. It's.....NOTHING. I cannot find anything that I do not like about this handy dandy wiz. Let's start with the look of it for starters. The chrome that dominates most of the machine fits in perfectly with the rest of the appliances in my kitchen. There is not an easier surface to keep clean as well. All ...
...booklet that comes with the KitchenAid is so brief, but also so simple that anyone should be able to learn how to use it within about 10 minutes. Folks, this is one of my favorite devices in my kitchen, and probably one of the most highly recommended pieces I will endorse on this site. If you have the means to acquire one, by all means hurry out and do so. It will make your life in the kitchen so much simpler and happier. ... Read review
