...suggestion, turn it on. I have lost a fax because of paper jamming and never could read it. When using the phone part, make sure you adjust your volume for the ringer. I cut mine off. I did this because it is loud and I had other phones that I listened for. I never really used the number storage feature but I did use the speed dialing feature.
