The Brother IntelliFAX 1860C is one of the better machines in this price range today. My office recently got two of these for less than $100 each, they were around $85, I think. I dislike the old ribbon roll that it uses for ink, but they can be found cheaply enough, plus we usually flip the cardboard rolls around, cut the notches in the end so they will fit backwards (instead of trying to re-roll them), and reuse them, thus saving money. This thing is in a greasy environment that puts it to a test (it sits by our chip fryer - we are a southwestern/mex grill) and gets totally covered in grease, but keeps right on printing. ...
