I joined Facebook when the craze started a few months ago. It's a clean-cut website, easy to use and easy to understand-- different than MySpace, but most definitely not worse.In terms of accessibility, Facebook is incredibly user-friendly. All of its forms and fields are straightforward and easy to understand, and its layout is clean, a nice change from the cluttered and noisy backgrounds of MySpace and other related sites. Its privacy settings are nice, too, and prevent unwanted lurkers from seeing your profile without your approval. The friends-approval system is fairly straightforward, as well-- you can choose whether or not to let the requester see your full profile, which helps screen your friendslist. A downside of Facebook is the overabundance of 'applications' that can be applied to your profile, and the necessity of sending requests to 20+ people in order to gain an application for yourself. Profiles can be cluttered with too many of the things, and can prove to be an annoyance to those on your buddylist if they're constantly bombarded by requests to add an application.In general, though, Facebook is a good website for meeting friends from around your area or across the country, and it's layout and accessibility definitely puts it high on my list of places to join.
