EPSON's AcuLaser C900 is essentially two printers in one. Firstly, it's a high performance monochrome laser that costs the same to run, perhaps even less, than a mono-only printer. Secondly, it's a versatile and productive color laser printer of great quality that performs just as well as a laser printer twice its price. It makes buying a mono-only printer a thing of the past, why bother when you also get great color printing for the same money? The EPSON AcuLaser C900 is designed to be just as easy to use as a monochrome-only laser printer. Superb quality color and mono printing is easier and more accessible than ever before, helping the users in your company spend more time on their work. What's more, the EPSON Aculaser C900 guarantees easy maintenance with a simple paper path and easily located consumables, which can be changed quickly and easily even by inexperienced operators. With its low purchase and running costs, versatility, ease of use and compact size, the EPSON AcuLaser C900 fits perfectly into any small working environment. It is incredibly easy to use, just as easy as a monochrome printer, with its simple one-touch operation, and completely compatible with all Windows operating systems, featuring both parallel and USB connections. The EPSON AcuLaser C900 is perfect for busy and demanding environments, producing 16ppm in black and white from its 200 sheet multipurpose paper tray (which accepts a wide variety of media types and thicknesses). An optional 500 sheet tray gives an even larger capacity and reduces reloading downtime. It even offers two-sided printing with the special duplex option for maximum efficiency and impact.

Advantages Good Price Disadvantages very limits in networking & driver compatibility
...I purchased EPSONAcuLaserC900 2 weeks ago. The price and spec attracted me to made this decision.
The paper tray is easy cause paper jam, can you image got error light comes out and open cases once a day at least? And, when I put A5 paper in and set up paper size in Word (Office XP version), the red light comes out again! So all I can print now is in standard A4 plain paper, if I try more other paper sources, I think I definatelly need more time to let it work! And the driver is not compatible with previous AL series therefore our server (Alpha mchine running under Windows 2000 and Windows NT4.0 can't drive it)
The system I used: 3 computers with print server (D-Link 301U), OS: Windows NT 4.0 Alpha, Windows XP Pro)...

Advantages Cheap at the time Disadvantages Unreliable on network
...I bought the Epson Aculaser C900 about nine months ago for a network of 25 PCs, taking up the then good price of approx £499. I bought this printer purely on price, as I was limited by budget. I now wish I hadn't bothered.
My impression formed very early on. The thing is VERY heavy. This isn't really a problem as the unit only had to be moved the once, but it took two of us.
The printer is capable of large colour printing jobs and has four separate cartridges, three colour and one black. These can be bought separately.
The printer came with the necessary drivers and was set up by our Technical Staff onto the network. There has, quite literally, not been a week where the think has not broken down, failed to print, or taken so long to send the first job through that the task has either been abandoned or repeated several times...

Advantages Easy to use Disadvantages A little noisy
...I purchased this printer in July 2003 online from Pc World. I received the printer very quickly and set it up straight away. Very easy to set up with Windows XP via Printer port. (also has usb port). I use it to print photo's, business cards, invoices, cd labels and general printing of documents. I have only used it to print on A4 paper and card and it does this with ease. It takes just over a minute to set itself when first turned on but is a little noisy but not that loud you have to use earplugs. When it is switched on but not in use it is silent after a few minutes (after switch on or printing) I am very happy with this printer and would recommend it. I notice it is one of the cheapest colour laser printers on the market-don't be put off by this-it is great value for money in my opinion....
