Advantages: Very humorous, graphics are nice, music is wonderful, nice story Disadvantages: Inventory system takes managing.
...in 1995 for the SNES. Earthbound is an RPG, but unlike other RPGs, this one is set in the modern era. There are no black mages, knights or monks here. Instead you have a girl who wields a frying pan and a boy with psyhic powers and carries a baseball bat. The story starts out in the year 199x, in the town of Onett in Eagleland. A boy named Ness, is awoke by a giant meteor crashing in his town, and being the adventrous boy he is, goes out to explore ... ...Gameplay in Earthbound is different from most RPGs, battles are fought in the first person persepctive, a la Dragon Warrior/Quest. Also, unlike most RPGs, enemies are visible on the field, and depending on where you confont them (From the side or behind) you can gain a preemptive strike on the enemy. After battle, enemies don't drop money, instead Ness' dad deposits money into his bank account, which can be accessed at any ATM in the game. One signifigant ...

Advantages: Everything Disadvantages: Nothing, how can you say bad things about the old games?
The first version of the Earthbound game to hit America. This is actually the 3rd game in the series, but I may be mistaken on that, in Japan and is really titled Mother, but the game was Americanized, so what can you do?
The game is an RPG and one of the best, classic games for the Super Nintendo. The game is about a boy named Ness, where aleisn being invading the Earth and he winds up getting the ability to use powers through the use of his super ... ...up to him to travel the world and save it.
You get to travel all around the world and see it in all it's 2D graphical glory. The game takes a while to paly and if you can beat it in one sitting, you will considered a game god. The game has some great 2D graphics, a great, and simple turn based battle system and a great storyline that will make you cry and applaud in the end. A classic RPG game that set a lot of rules for future games of the genre. ...

...house alot to play it EarthBound for Super NES was a cool game with alot of fun objectives and really had a good presentation in a role playing game. the story was alos really good and kept my interest in the game. I did think that the game was a little too easy though which sometimes would annoy because sometimes it just takes away from the challenge and fun of the game. Theres actually earlier versions of this game that wernt released here which ... ...game isnt bad either but just in comparrison this was probably slighty weaker then the other titles.overall the game has good gameplay and really good storyline to keep your attention it was just for me the game was way to easy and made it seem shorter then what it really was. ...

You are Ness, a kid sleeping in his home when a alien comes to you and tells you that you along with three other kids are the only ones who can save the future of Earth. Your mission: find the other three chosen ones and then stop the horrible Gigayas who are going to invade Earth. This is EARTHBOUND!!!
Additional information
Detailed Description: Nintendo's turn-based roleplaying game, Earthbound is actually the second installment in the popular Japanese Mother series. Developed by Ape and HAL (of Super Smash Bros. fame), Earthbound follows the adventures of Ness, a young boy genius with psychic powers. After a mysterious meteorite lands near his home in Onett, the whiz kid sets out on a quest to save the world. His legend has lived on ever since. Because of the popularity of the first two titles, HAL originally planned on releasing a new Earthbound game (with new characters) for Nintendo 64. Sadly, the project was cancelled. However, characters and locations from Earthbound appeared in the Super Smash Bros. titles. The US release of Earthbound featured a scratch'n'sniff card as an added gimmick to promote the game.
