A901 takes any Intel Celeron or Tualatin Socket 370 desktop processors with speeds up to 1.5GHz. This is plenty of speed for applications such as Microsoft Office, whilst not causing a burden on one's power supply source. A SiS 630ST chipset is installed in the A901. This chipset has a 3D graphics engine and AC97 controller built-in. It also supports 3D glasses for gaming, and supports shared memory up to 64MB. For memory storage, the A901 is equipped with 128MB of SDRAM, upgradeable to a maximum of 512MB. That's more than enough support for basic computer functions and most standard software programs. The A901 comes ably equipped with a dependable 10GB hard drive. That's adequate storage capacity for plenty of essential office software programs and important data. The A901 is loaded with four USB 1.1 ports for devices such as card readers, PDAs, mobile phones and digital cameras. There is also a built-in 56K modem and LAN adapter for web surfing and accessing e-mail. In addition to being the ideal computer product for work applications, the A901 can also act as a home entertainment system. The A901 comes with a 14.1" XGA TFT-LCD screen with 1024 x 768 resolution. There is also an optional DVD ROM module available that makes the A901 even more adaptable for leisure purposes at home. To keep temperatures down, there are numerous vents, an aluminum heat sink and a cooling fan. The unit's form factor and external location of the battery also assist to minimize the internal temperature.
