I bought this Dryer in Febuary. I have the electric version. My electric bill has not gone up since my purchase. It seems to be very efficent. It has several features I love. for one it is TOP LOADING!!!! It is the only top loading dryer that I know of. That is So nice next to my washer. Directly grab the clothes from the washer and drop them into the dryer. No more squatting down or dropping clothes on the floor trying to get them into a front ...
...the lint bucket only needs to be emptied every 15 or so loads. It also has auto sensing drying settings so you do not under dry or over dry your clothes. You should sort your clothes according to drying time. it will not dry insulated jeans in with a load of light teeshirts. The teeshirts will be dry and the Insulated jeans will be slightly damp on the inside. As for noise it is about adverage. It has a odd noise when the lid locks and it starts. ... Read review

we bought Whirlpool Super Capacity Dryer on aug last year along with the matching Whirlpool Washing Machine.The machine has worked very well. We purchased this Whirlpool Cabrio Super-Capacity dryer to replace a piece of crap Kenmore dryer. We knew we didn't want to own another Kenmore or Fridgidaire product again (they were the actual manufacturer of the dryer). But we only needed to replace the dryer and the dryer needed to have specific qualities: to have a large enough capacity to dry all the clothes that our washer could wash (which was A LOT) and have a door that opened to the right ...
...with this dryer and other Whirlpool products. When our crap Kenmore washer eventually died, we replaced it with a Whirlpool Duet. However, we did learn our lesson and purchased the extended warranty (we got it at Best Buy) and had them install it. It's a little piece of mind, considering that nothing seems to be made to last these days. ...and I also bought a Whirlpool washing machine, we went to The Home Depot and spent less than $600 for both, and have put them to good use.
