Review of Donating clothing by reck-a

Advantages: keep children warm, helping out others
Disadvantages: none at all

...clothing I believe that donating clothing is very important. My best friend and I have a little girl only seven months apart, we always trade cloths. Her little girls feet are way smaller than mine, so she gets all the shoes my daughter out grows. It saves us money, and the cloths are not being wasted. I also donate jackets, snow pants, mittens and hats to "coats for kids". This is a organization in Canada, A very close friend of the family's ...
...he was the one that taught me how important it is to give used clothing, to the people who can not afford it. He passed away while I was in the hospital after having my child, so for him and for all those children who are cold every winter because their family's can not afford a warm jacket for them...I give. I really hope anyone who has children will donate their clothing, toys, boots all that stuff to a good place, don't just through it out. Even ... Read review

DONATING IS A GRATUITOUS ACT
Review of Donating clothing by z1mzAm

Advantages: bonding, generosity and gratitude.
Disadvantages: none

...a bag and immediately donated it to the victims for them to use and to have their own clothing to wear. Donating our clothing or whatever things we had particularly to the needy, is of great help to them and of sound gratitude. ... Read review

Donating Clothes
Review of Donating clothing by anshulsood

Advantages: helps needy ones
Disadvantages: none

...the needy ones is by donating their used clothes or clothes which they do not use now. But keep in mind donate clothes to needy ones and make sure that the clothes reach the right hands.Or try to give them straight to the hands of the needy ones rather than a middle person. Make sure you help those who really need your help and try give away clothes which are in good condition rather than clothes which are not too old which are not even worth wearing ...
...is corrupt your will never reach the right hands. This thing happened in the recent floods in Bihar and at the time of Tsunami when the donated clothes and other things didn't reach the right hands and poor and needy ones were deprived of their rights to get aid from people which was pouring from all corners of India. ... Donate the clothes which you don't wear
Review of Donating clothing by alisarialtun

Advantages: helps others,feels better
Disadvantages: never,none

...make some other people happy. Donating clothes might not seem very helpful to you but for the ones who need them, it is really a very important things. Just a few weeks ago, I and my brother took out all the clothes which are too small for us after all. There were even very new ones which have not been used , or used for only twice or three times. Why should we put them on thrash bin while some children can't find the clothes to wear? We just donated ...
...and it felt a lot better really. While you are interacting with people around you, you will feel everybody is just like you and their needs are same, but this is not true. Some people are looking for the clothes you doN't wear, especially the kids, and worse: some people are even looking for food... ... Read review

Used Clothes for the Needy
Review of Donating clothing by opinyunada

Advantages: You help others.
Disadvantages: I found none.

...remind you guys, that in donating clothes please do not include the following; 1. Don't give those clothes with big holes everywhere. 2. Panties or briefs with no garters. Or should I say, don't give your used undies anymore. Even the hankies. It is too personal. 3. Used rags or clothes used as rags are not included in the category of 'used clothes'. It is good for throwing already. 4. Clothes with a lot of writings or paints that looks like ...
...Socks with no partner, smells bad or with discoloration are not acceptable. It is good to give our used clothes that keep it inside our cabinet. Let others used it than just let it stink. Someone told me, once you no longer using a cloth for a year, it only means you no longer needed it so better pass it on others. ... Read review

Wax that works
Review of Madame Tussauds, London by jacko1447 taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages amazing
Disadvantages expensive

...About 6 years ago I worked at Tussaud's as an exhibition guide, my job was to make sure no customer touched the models. People dont know but alot goes into making the models, from measuring, distinguished marks donation of clothes etc etc, before I worked there i had visited once and I learned a great deal, most items in there are origonals and most of the clothes the celebs have on are donated from them that was one of the conditions. I think the price could be lowered as it is too high however if you are fasinated by wax then it is well worth a visit. I would like to say that the Chamber of horrors even though I worked down there alone hundreds of times still scares me to this day, many occasions that I worked at private parties there I sware that ghost's were walking around down there many a time I have had to escape... charity shall cover the multitude of sins
Review of Should charity begin at home? by Mojoly taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages It's home
Disadvantages Maybe it's too close to 'home'?

.... And these were not the beaten up, old jalopy type vehicles, these were nice, air-conditioned four wheel drive, off the road, up the wall, you name it we’ve got it type of vehicles. Maybe I have a vehicle fixation, but it used to make me wonder if the little old lady at home knew that her loving donation for the starving children of Africa had, in all probability gone towards a fleet of vehicles far in excess of what was needed. All these guys worked in the city and rarely ventured up into the bush, although the vehicles did come in handy for the weekend trips to out of town beaches. There are many stories I could relate; sponsored orphans who do not exist, donated clothing turning up on the local market stalls still with Sue Ryder,Oxfam or some such chaity labels on them (you could buy bundles, in Liberia they were known as ‘dead mens clothes... Extremely enjoyable.
Review of The Smartest Giant in Town - Julia Donaldson by chrissie_pie taken from ciao.co.uk

Advantages just the right length for bedtime, written in correct sentences
Disadvantages kids may love it to much (i know it off by heart)

...George was a giant the scruffiest giant in town.... and so it begins George is a bit down about his apearance so he goes and buys some new clothes. On his way home he meets a whole host of animals with different dillemas and helps them out with by donating an item of clothing. For instance George meets a mouse whose house has burned down and kindly donates a shoe for her and her babies to live in. The book its self is very nice to look at and at A4 size easy for toddler to handle. I have also found it to be very durable (my son stuck stickers on the inside pages and they peeled off easily without damaging the page). I loved the story, the length was just right and there was something to dicuss on every page. I've struggled to find a book that was written using full sentences without being too long or confusing, this book... Read review
