cleans well
Review of Whirlpool DU850SWPB by stonecold

Advantages: energy effectient, cleans well, easy to clean
Disadvantages: none

My mother has this dish washer in her home and it works pretty good. She has not had any kind of problems out of it. She says that it cleans her dishes really good and just occasionly she has to wash again but not very often at all. It has four different wash funtions and lots of features to use. It is really nice to use when you make a big dinner and don't want to wash the dishes. You can also put it on enery save so it doesn't ring up your power ... Read review

An affordable and substantial dishwasher
Review of Whirlpool GU2200XTS by ascott

Advantages: Silverware compartment on door, more room for pots and pans, 6 cycles and delayed start, sturdy
Disadvantages: Vinyl coated compartments could eventually rust

I just purchased the Whirlpool GU2200XTS dishwasher in black. I purchased it as Sears for $549, but there is a $50 rebate. I also received free delivery, so after all the discounts, it is far better than the other models I was looking at that were around $300 - $400. It is also a much sturdier dishwasher and has 6 cycles and a delayed wash for those who want to run their dishes at another time. I wasn't sure how I was going to like the in door silverware ...
...a bit more than I had anticipated. I also like that by being located on the door, there is more room for larger pots/pans on the bottom shelf. This model has Quiet Partner technology and it is actually ... quiet. For a mid-price range dishwasher, I am very pleased with form and function. ... Read review

Good Dishwasher for the money!
Review of Whirlpool DU930PWST by DebiEstes

Advantages: Good price and works well.
Disadvantages: Doesn't have steel tub.

I replaced my GE washer with this one and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. It is very easy to use and does an antiquate job at cleaning. I have had mine for about 5 years and the only problem I have had is a wheel on the top shelf came off. Simply enough replaced. It is a very quite machine for the money. It has different settings for different needs including pot scrubber. I have to admit though, you have to use Cascade dishwashing ... Read review

Don't buy this dishwasher!
Review of LG LDF9810ST by colorado72

Advantages: Nice looking exterior.
Disadvantages: Doesn't clean the dishes, all dishes wet, vents steam to floor, poorly designed racks.

Paid $1,500 for this newest LG Steam dishwasher at Home Depot. last week. The dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes, all dishes are wet at the end of the over 2 hour normal cycle, the racks are poorly designed in that this huge tub holds less than dishwashers half the size, and the dishwasher vents hot steam at the bottom which is warping my hardwood floor. The cutlery bins are too small to hold regular silverware and items placed on the 3rd level ...
...stem rack on the upper rack is supposed to hold stemware. That woud work if your stemware were 4 inches tall. The rack is adjustable - you can lower it to accept normal stemware and large glasses, but then you won't be able to load regular size plates in the lower rack (unles you want them chipped by the spray arm.) Because all the dishes are wet at the end of the cycle (even if you are using a rinse aid product), water will drip from the dishwasher ... Read review

Fisher & Paykel DS603
Review of Fisher & Paykel DS603 by rainbow20

Advantages: ease of use, cleanliness of dishes
Disadvantages: none she told me of

...dishwasher, I will definitely use Fisher & Paykel drawer washer. My cousin just had hers installed. She had two single drawer washers installed, one on either side of sink. I actually volunteered to load. It easily help dishes for a dinner for 6 and glasses. The ease of loading was great. I was not there to check that load for shine, but the other washer had dishes already done. Clean, shiny, and no spots on glasses. She had 2 pots in it and one ...
...clean. The ease of use, I love. No bending and struggling with the bottom rack. Just the ease of opening a drawer. Make sure you get someone to install that knows what they are doing. If the unit is not level, drawer won't close as it should. Her husband installed hers, but he works for a major retail chain and had installed others. She did tell me that she had to be careful with the amount of detergent used, being careful not to use too much. ... Read review
