Advantages: Light, easy to use, inexpensive, very good LCD, RGB Histogram Disadvantages: Lack of built in autofocus motor, 6.0 mp, no live view, no swivel screen
I bought this camera in mid of December this year and accept attempt some 5000 snaps with it. If you don't wish to compression your pocket much & as well wish to accumulate your ancestors blessed by not spending abundant on a camera, you should buy this as it will allay your appetite for a acceptable interchangeble lens SLR camera.
I accept 18-55 & 55-200vr lens, which about answer my charge of macro, landscapes & wildlife photography. I got all ... ...in this amount range.
You can aswell use DX & Full-Frame lenses on this body. Though accumulate in apperception that alone lenses with congenital in motor will autofocus or you will be larboard with chiral focus only.
It is alone (for some people) 6.1 mp, but the images are acceptable even afterwards agriculture & I've printed some images in 8"x12" size.
The camera is actual simple to handle. But new guys to SLR photography should bethink that ...

...the 'affordable' DSLR market developed, Pentax showed how serious its intentions were with the K10D, a semi-pro-level DSLR with a features list to humble the competition at a very attractive price. Having added so many bells and whistles to the K10D, it's not much of a surprise to find that its successor, the K20D, is essentially a refinement of the same design. But, even though it can't quite boast the same novel-feature-count as its predecessor, ... ...change is the addition of a live-view mode that provides a zoomable, live preview directly from the imaging sensor.
Pentax has also tweaked the default settings of the camera's JPEG output (our biggest gripe about the K10D), so does the K20D offer enough to play with the big boys? ...
