light but not a lightweight
Review of Pentax *ist D by imma

Advantages: small, light, features
Disadvantages: none

It's not an exaggeration if we say that this camera has the lightest body weight among all digital SLR. Thought it is small and light, it is a mean baby to work with. Maximum shutter speed is 1/4000 seconds and minimum is 30 seconds. If you like watching fireworks, this should make you happy because you'll be able to capture that explosive moment. Imagine what you can do with it. It can also shoot 6 frames per second to 2.6 frames per second. ... Read review

Canon EOS 5D Camera
Review of Canon EOS 5D by Nixon

Advantages: Full frame sensor body
Disadvantages: none

The 13-megapixel Canon EOS 5D single-lens reflex digital camera is the first consumer-priced full-frame sensor body. If you are a wide-angle junkie and have a bunch of older Canon EOS lenses designed for film cameras, you'll love having the EOS 5D. The camera has an internal buffer memory for rapid sequence photography (17 RAWs or 60 JPEGs). The camera can capture 3 frames per second continuously. The Canon EOS 5D does not have a built-in flash. ...

Review based on E-520
Review of Olympus E-520 by ouzegba

Advantages: you decide
Disadvantages: you decide

The Olympus E-520 is a refreshed version of Olympus's upper-entry-level camera, the E-510. As such it's a slightly bulked-up E-420 with image stabilization, which makes it one of the most feature-packed and customizable cameras available for under $500. It loses some of its sibling's compact chic but offers a bigger, longer-lasting battery and a more familiar grip shape to those people familiar with contemporary DSLRs. Its Four-Thirds sensor (2.43cm2) ...
...that has become commonplace since Olympus pioneered the idea a few years back. It's clearly a camera that comes from a company with a strong heritage of making products for photographers, with useful features such as highlight and shadow spot metering modes sitting alongside a plethora of beginner-friendly point-and-shoot modes. The whole market has become a much more competitive place since the E-510 first hit the market in March 2007, so has the ... Read review
