I bought my Nikon D40 3 months ago. This is my first SLR camera and my first Nikon. I am an amateur photographer and owned Canons before. I love this camera so much! It uses SD memory card to store the photos taken. It has a lots of photo options which is really essential for a professional photographer . I am a professional photographer and adore this camera. It has such ease of use, it is of fantastic quality and offers me the ability to do what I need to do for my business. I have only one small complaint. I am plagued by dust on my sensor and I hate having to pay to have it cleaned. I have learned ways to get it clean on my own, but I am forever paranoid when trying to do it myself. I wish there was a more dust resistant sensor in there. I don't ...

But, I am easily able to change lenses, the viewfinder is adjustable to my needs, the viewing screen in the back is big enough to view what I need to see but doesn't take up the entire back of the camera. The weight is easy to manage. I can be on a shoot for hours at a time and not feel the frustration of an overbearing camera in my hands. I truly love this camera. I may upgrade someday.
