ujifilm FinePix S2 Pro - my review
Review of Fujifilm FinePix S2 Pro by
vignanvenu_eee
Advantages: Picture quality
Disadvantages: size
As I have very much intersted in photoshop i used to test various cameras and used to write the reviews on them. this is one of the very intersting camera. While I have many years experience with shooting film w/ slr's, this is my first dslr, and although it's nearly an antique by todays standards I highly recommend it for those just getting into digital slr's. Easy to learn and easy to use. Durabilty seems top notch so far and the multitude of Nikon ... ...make it a great starter camera. Image quailty is fantastic, as so many others have already stated - even by 2008 standards.
Strengths:
Durability
Picture quality
Ease of use
price
documentation
Weaknesses:
Size - this camera has a BIG body! Big enough that it won't fit in many standard size camera cases. The best fit I've found for an "over the shoulder" bag is the Lowepro Nova 3 as it is wide enough to accomodate the bodyw/ lens attached

Canon EOS 5D Camera
Review of Canon EOS 5D by
Nixon
Advantages: Full frame sensor body
Disadvantages: none
The 13-megapixel Canon EOS 5D single-lens reflex digital camera is the first consumer-priced full-frame sensor body.
If you are a wide-angle junkie and have a bunch of older Canon EOS lenses designed for film cameras, you'll love having the EOS 5D.
The camera has an internal buffer memory for rapid sequence photography (17 RAWs or 60 JPEGs). The camera can capture 3 frames per second continuously.
The Canon EOS 5D does not have a built-in flash.

Nikon D40 A No Regret Buy
Review of Nikon D40 by
lipshamishra
Advantages: Light, easy to use, inexpensive, very good LCD, RGB Histogram
Disadvantages: Lack of built in autofocus motor, 6.0 mp, no live view, no swivel screen
I bought this camera in mid of December this year and accept attempt some 5000 snaps with it. If you don't wish to compression your pocket much & as well wish to accumulate your ancestors blessed by not spending abundant on a camera, you should buy this as it will allay your appetite for a acceptable interchangeble lens SLR camera.
I accept 18-55 & 55-200vr lens, which about answer my charge of macro, landscapes & wildlife photography. I got all ... ...in this amount range.
You can aswell use DX & Full-Frame lenses on this body. Though accumulate in apperception that alone lenses with congenital in motor will autofocus or you will be larboard with chiral focus only.
It is alone (for some people) 6.1 mp, but the images are acceptable even afterwards agriculture & I've printed some images in 8"x12" size.
The camera is actual simple to handle. But new guys to SLR photography should bethink that ...

Review based on E-520
Review of Olympus E-520 by
ouzegba
Advantages: you decide
Disadvantages: you decide
The Olympus E-520 is a refreshed version of Olympus's upper-entry-level camera, the E-510. As such it's a slightly bulked-up E-420 with image stabilization, which makes it one of the most feature-packed and customizable cameras available for under $500. It loses some of its sibling's compact chic but offers a bigger, longer-lasting battery and a more familiar grip shape to those people familiar with contemporary DSLRs.
Its Four-Thirds sensor (2.43cm2) ... ...that has become commonplace since Olympus pioneered the idea a few years back. It's clearly a camera that comes from a company with a strong heritage of making products for photographers, with useful features such as highlight and shadow spot metering modes sitting alongside a plethora of beginner-friendly point-and-shoot modes.
The whole market has become a much more competitive place since the E-510 first hit the market in March 2007, so has the ...
