Review of Olympus EVOLT E-510 by
greeneyedbeauty
Advantages: Everything from ease of use to high quality photos
Disadvantages: I can not think of any
I absolutly love this camera. The pictures are of high quality. The camera is easy to navigate and is user friendly. This camera is great for ametures wanting to break into the photgraphy business. It gives you the easy to use option without taking away the quality of the pictures. I highly reccomend this camera to anyone who love to have high quality photos and enjoys taking them. The camera has many different functions that reduce red eye and captures ... ...buttons are right on the back easy to see and use. When you take a picture you can automatically see what you took. There is also a feature to where you can just look through the lense or shoot from looking at the screen. Two thumbs up for sure. ...

At last ... My first digital SLR camera!
Review of Olympus E-510 by
saort745
Advantages: small, light and image stabilizer
Disadvantages: In live mode - View the camera is slow
...budget. Until I had the Olympus E 510 between my hands. I was amazed by how small (compared with the aforementioned) who was. Apart from this I am familiar with the Olympus brand, we have a great affection, because my first camera was an OM10 (which unfortunately robbed me) and then a OM1 (this I still have the ...). On top was not as expensive. Finally, after much searching the Internet I could buy through Andorrafreemarket.com (which are not only ... ...day of asking the camera) where the twin kit, or with a goal of 14/42 mm (as has the multiplier distania focal 2 this equates to an 28-84 mm) and one 40/150 mm (80-300 mm) I went by 670 Euro, against VAT and transportation reimbursement included . This is more than good. Apart from this, I bought a memory card of 2 GB Compact Flash in the same place that I went for 39 Euros. ...

A large purchase
Review of Olympus E-410 by
glort745
Advantages: image quality, ruggedness, size, weight, versatility
Disadvantages: use flash as an aid to approach very annoying
6 months ago I gave this reflex camera, the first I've had, and I no longer separated from it. Certainly it's a little expensive, but its price will lead a semi-reflex. In addition, sold in packs with 1 or 2 goals, which makes it a little more profitable, and makes it covers a broader field. In my case, I gave the pack with 2 goals and the truth is that time of the telephoto lens is giving me better results than the wide angle. It gives a brilliant ... ...store a wide variety of formats. It incorporates two slots for memory cards: one for CompactFlash and another for xD-Picture Card. It incorporates an important development with regard to their predecessors Olympus: stabilizer incorporated in the body, which represents a breakthrough very interesting. As for design, is relatively small, very lightweight and very good ergonomics and tact. Come on, which is very comfortable and manageable when it comes ...

Sony alpha DSLR-A350
Review of Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A350 by
hehethegreat
Advantages: Unique Mechanism, Auto Focus Improvements
Disadvantages: Still Expensive
Sony with the high brand level launch alpha DSLR-A350 with a unique mechanism that no one has yet tried, drawing an image from inside the optical viewfinder with a special tilting mirror. Like the A200 Sony make improvements to alpha-A350 AF have made focus acquisition 1.7 times faster, thanks to the high-torque AF motor and improved AF sequence borrowed from the A700. Autofocus in Live View is also as fast as it is in optical viewfinder mode, a ... ...With that description above make Sony A350 as a semi-pro camera. Not a bad thing, because it shows that the housing and appearance of the camera give you a good feeling, certainly with the Carl Zeiss lens mounted on the camera but If you need the resolution bump at a low price, the Rebel XSi is probably a better choice than the Sony Alpha DSLR-A350. ...

Rebel XSI Review
Review of Canon Rebel Xsi by
spiritflare
Advantages: superb image quality, live view, light weight
Disadvantages: plasticky feel, could use better weathersealing
...the same footing as the Canon 40D, except for the weathersealing and frame rate. (3.5fps/vs 6.5 (40D). Image quality is superb and is 12 megapixels which allows plenty room for cropping. The XSI allows allows Live View which allows Autofocus (but slow) vs the 40D which has Live View but cannot AF in it. The other cameras that the XSI competes with would be the Nikon D60 and Olympus E-420. The E-420 is smaller, and has more problems with Noise at ... ...1) someone who already has Canon Lenses and wants to keep the Canon-body to keep their lens investment.
2) First time DSLR buyer who is attracted to Canon - go into the store and compare against the Nikon D60 and see which feels better for you.
3) Buyer who is looking for a camera with Live View capability so they can see how the image looks on the LCD screen in addition to looking through a viewfinder.
For a comparative summary of this camera, ...
