Nikon D300 - ALMOST PROFESSIONAL
Review of Nikon D300 by trans7945

Advantages: Cal, speed, screen, Live View
Disadvantages: price

At first glance this camera suffers some minor changes regarding her younger sister, D200. The grasp is slightly more rounded and with a touch more roughness, which makes it more pleasant to the touch. Moreover, no differences were found many more outside. Pantallón has a 3 inch for data visualization, histograms, photographs, menus, ... that far exceeds that of their competitors in the segment and much brighter than the D200. The sensor is a 12 ...
...that more megapixels = = more memory cards more capacity. Each sensor is the DX, with a factor d emultipliación 1.5 x. Sensor Dimensions: 23.60 mm x 15.80. Besides enjoying an almost perfect sensitivity to ISO 1600, similar to what his sister D200 offered to 800, thus a marked improvement. We can arrive at forcing ISO 6400, but there are already noticed quite deficient in terms of image and color saturation, not so much noise. We have 51 points of ... Read review

A large camera
Review of Fujifilm IS Pro by bolsa745

Advantages: Compatibility with Nikon lenses. Sharpness with high sensitivity
Disadvantages: The approach is slow and vague.

...this type. The sensor Fujifilm supports a sensitivity equivalent to ISO 1600 with a sharpness greater than that of other cameras in its class. As for whites this camera has a menu shortcut on the back that allows us to vary the tone, from tungsten lights to fluorescent, daylight and cloudy days. It also has an automatic position, but I would not suggest using it (usually wrong, and it is difficult to change later). The same menu allows us to monitor ...
...saturation ... This allows vary without taking away the camera out of hand. The weakness is the low speed when making continuous shots (just over 2 fps), high consumption of batteries and the inaccuracy of the proactive approach, especially in position C. Its strong point is the price, nearly half the professional digital reflex Nikon and Canon. ... Read review

SONY A700P
Review of Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A700P by pertghj4779

Advantages: very good camera
Disadvantages: Slow continuous shooting, awkward menus

The 14.2-megapixel A350 fits somewhere between the beefy a700 and the a200, positioning itself to directly compete with other entry-level priced DSLRs like Canon's EOS Rebel XSi. Design-wise, the main attraction of the a350 is the 2.7-inch live view LCD, the soon-to-be ubiquitous technology that enables real-time image adjustment pre-capture, allowing the user to see how the changes they're making to the camera's settings will directly affect the ...
...switching to live view mode. We're also seeing the vertically tilting LCD more and more; we're told it's better for low angle shooting, but we still think a 180-degree rotating LCD provides more flexibility than one that only tilts up and down. The continuous shooting speed of 2.5fps (which drops to approximately 2 fps in live view mode) could be considered subpar, and we're not fans of Sony's menu systems in general, as they tend to be convoluted, ... Sony alpha DSLR-A350
Review of Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A350 by hehethegreat

Advantages: Unique Mechanism, Auto Focus Improvements
Disadvantages: Still Expensive

Sony with the high brand level launch alpha DSLR-A350 with a unique mechanism that no one has yet tried, drawing an image from inside the optical viewfinder with a special tilting mirror. Like the A200 Sony make improvements to alpha-A350 AF have made focus acquisition 1.7 times faster, thanks to the high-torque AF motor and improved AF sequence borrowed from the A700. Autofocus in Live View is also as fast as it is in optical viewfinder mode, a ...
...With that description above make Sony A350 as a semi-pro camera. Not a bad thing, because it shows that the housing and appearance of the camera give you a good feeling, certainly with the Carl Zeiss lens mounted on the camera but If you need the resolution bump at a low price, the Rebel XSi is probably a better choice than the Sony Alpha DSLR-A350. ... Rebel XSI Review
Review of Canon Rebel Xsi by spiritflare

Advantages: superb image quality, live view, light weight
Disadvantages: plasticky feel, could use better weathersealing

...the same footing as the Canon 40D, except for the weathersealing and frame rate. (3.5fps/vs 6.5 (40D). Image quality is superb and is 12 megapixels which allows plenty room for cropping. The XSI allows allows Live View which allows Autofocus (but slow) vs the 40D which has Live View but cannot AF in it. The other cameras that the XSI competes with would be the Nikon D60 and Olympus E-420. The E-420 is smaller, and has more problems with Noise at ...
...1) someone who already has Canon Lenses and wants to keep the Canon-body to keep their lens investment. 2) First time DSLR buyer who is attracted to Canon - go into the store and compare against the Nikon D60 and see which feels better for you. 3) Buyer who is looking for a camera with Live View capability so they can see how the image looks on the LCD screen in addition to looking through a viewfinder. For a comparative summary of this camera, ... Read review
