Advantages: quality picture Disadvantages: ugly and heavy
This ugly looking Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A300K is so bouky but you will be surprise with the picture quality. I used this once which I borrowed from my friend and I like the quality of the picture alot.
I definitely dont like the look of this camera, it looks ugly on my own view, will definitely recommend it for professional use. the picture quality is so clear and sharp, but will not recommend this if you're a frequent traveler.
It is so complicated ...

Advantages: very professional usage Disadvantages: too heavy and big
Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A200K is a very high end camera, I've to admit that I don't really know how to use this, as the function is too complicated. You have to read the manual in order to know how to use it. It is indeed a super high end camera.
It is absolutely not suitable for travelling or vacation use. I can't even slot this into my hand carry bag! it is so heavy and doesn't look nice, but, you will be surprise with the quality of the picture taken, ...

Advantages: Too many to mention and some are laid out already in my review. Disadvantages: Outweights the good quality of the benefits that you could get.
Since my Canon IXUS 850 is already 3 years old and eventhough I still love it's features and its easy functionality but I believe it's time already to upgrade on my camera.
I have made my own research regarding what's best to buy and most importantly what suits your interest. I believe that it is not more about how good and how competent the gadget is but it's more on how at ease you are with the product you have on hand.
The 40D is what I am setting ... ...But another good feature of Canon 40D is the highlight tone priority that lets you get a better picture even in bright highlights, during broad daylight to portraits in sunlight. There;s just too much of the advantage than what you don't like of it.
It's time to say goodbye with point and shoot and embrace the revolutionary evolution of dSLR. ...

Advantages: Sport mode, trasfers to computer easy, lots of accessories Disadvantages: error 99, heavy with all the accessories
We bought one of these when they first came out. I love to take pictures and the smaller cameras just don't cut it. This one does. I love using it. We use it almost every day now that we have kids. For the most part, after four years it is still working great. Every now and then we get error 99 and we can't seem to find a reason why. It doesn't affect any pictures that we take, we just have to turn the camera off and then back on and it works again. ... ...it. I love being able to switch lenses to take different types of shots. It does work best in natural light, but if you get an extra flash like we did then it works even better inside. You also need to keep your batteries charged. When you don't the camera slows down just a bit. Which also could just be sign of age. Overall, I love this camera. ...
