Sony Alpha 300 Review
Review of Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A300K by
sdas86
Advantages: Autofocus, integrated super steady shot
Disadvantages: no memory card included
Sony Alpha 300 is a great DSLR for beginner. This model is quite affordable. The package of Sony Alpha 300 is divided into two types which are single lens package and twin lens package. The twin lens package comes with two lens which are the 18mm-70mm lens and the 75mm-300mm lens. The single lens package comes with single lens which is the 18mm-70mm lens. I think that Sony Alpha 300 is very good for beginner because it include a lot of features such ... ...but hardly found on DSLR. Sony Alpha 300 is having all the 3 features stated which is very good.
If you get other DSLRs, most of them do not have integrated super steady shot. So, you will have to buy lens that have super steady shot feature which will be very expensive. Sony has made in integrated, so every lens will have the super steady shot feature.
The lens included will autofocus automatically. So, you do not need to focus it manually. If ...

You Will Like It
Review of Nikon D40x by
xy7091
Advantages: Excellent pictures, light, easy to use
Disadvantages: none
Nikon D40x is the best digital camera I have ever seen. Sharpness with 50mm f/1.4lens is very high. The lens is very professional. If you are a reporter, you can try this one. It can save you a lot of time, because it can give you a lot of high quality pictures. You will not be blamed by your boss with the poor quality pictures. The LCD screen is the best part of the camera. I like the screen very much. Every time I see the camera, I feel very happy. ...

Sony D-SLR A100
Review of Sony a (alpha) DSLR-A100 by
roni107
Advantages: user friendly, light weight
Disadvantages: a bit plasticy
...lenses from Minolta, and the Sony lenses are good too. Find the burst rate on RAW (6fps) wonderful for catching flying birds and wildlife in action. Autofocus is great, and will not allow out of focus shots when using burst...so, just set the autofocus on spot and use burst for spectacular shots of flying birds, etc.
I also find the antishake setup very valuable as I am a senior citizen who is beginning to have some hand shake and the system compensates ... ...is bundled with the camera may not match those of Canon or Nikon's so some owners may want to buy those in Carl Zeiss range. Unfortunately they will be put off by the steep prices and Sony will make the camera even more attractive if they could lower their prices. ...

Great first DSLR
Review of Pentax K10D by
Imani68
Advantages: Produces excellent, high quality pictures.
Disadvantages: The ramp up curve is steep.
We bought this camera in December of 2007. I take a lot of pictures of my two kids. This was a move up for me from an Olympus C-5050 and a small purse sized digital camera to the advanced amateur DSLR. It took me a few months to get adjusted to the big Digital SLR but now I'm a convert. Pictures are very sharp and the noise is manageable. I'm still trying to figure out all of the features and the 10.2 megapixels is way more than I'll ever need on ...
