The l'espion Xtra digital camera is the big brother of the popular l'espion digital camera. It's only marginally bigger at 60 x 40 x 15mm but with increased capacity in a stylish metal case. PRODUCT FEATURES: Video Clips - record movies up to 27 seconds; 10-second self-timer; 1 x AAA battery; LiteSync technology for taking images in low lighting conditions; PC and Mac compatible.
Advantages Handy to carry round, and very cheap Disadvantages Poor quality pictures inside.
...I was very excited when I received my camera from Amazon (on time!) and took it out immediately to snap my parents on a day out! The pictures weren't bad quality and I only needed to tweak the colour a little bit to improve them. The only bad side is that pictures taken inside can be pretty poor quality, but I found that pictures taken inside when daylight is shining in, are not too bad either.
The software that comes with the camera that turns it into a webcam is not compatible with the camera, therefore making it totally useless in that department. I e-mailed DigitalDreams and had this confirmed. The software was a mistake. Also, apparently I can't use windows 98 to use it as a movie camera as I need Microsoft Movie Maker - which is only compatible with XP (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Overall, not bad for the money...
