Advantages: Easy to use, lots of features. Disadvantages: Can be confusing if you don't know what you're doing.
I have owned this camera for about four years. I purchased it for around $100.00. The reason I purchased it was because I was new to digital cameras and didn't want to spend too much until I figured out how to use one. I have a small business that I have to take a lot of pictures for. I know with this camera there are all kinds of fancy features that allow you to take movies and put them on your TV to watch. I never went that far. I did by accident ... ...That was kind of cool to have. But it wasn't on purpose.
I use this camera to take up close pictures of little items. The detail that comes up in these pictures is amazing. That is what my small business needs. I can tell you too, that I never took a photography class but the pictures I take come out great.
I have taken indoor and outdoor pictures. There is a panoramic setting for scenic pictures. Again, I have never used that feature. But I have ...

Advantages: light weight, sliding lens cover, ease of use Disadvantages: low level zoom, no anti-shake function
I have owned this super little digi-cam for a few years now and have been extremely pleased with the pictures it takes. Because you can vary the quality of each picture - obviously the higher quality the pic the more memory it occupies - you can be sure that when you upload to the internet or to a photo program you won't end up with highly pixelated or blurry results. It is a lightweight little camera, extremely easy to use - all the functions work ... ...so that nothing is left to happenstance. It also, crucially, will double-check you if you are about to erase a single pic or the entire memory card. New cards are relatively inexpensive so it is probably helpful to upgrade from that installed in the camera so that you aren't constantly having to upload/review/delete pics taken. Batteries are rechargeable and a full charge actually lasts for quite a long time. You can opt-in to flash, to portrait ...

Advantages: Easy to Use Reliable Ideal For Beginners Disadvantages: Small LCD Screen.
...finally decided to purchase an Olympus Camedia C725 Ultra Zoom, 3 Megapixel digital camera, based mainly on the reputation of the Olympus brand name.
Getting the camera home I wondered what I had let myself in for! However, after using this camera for a week or so, I soon realised that I had made the right choice and there really was nothing to worry about!
The C725 really is easy to use and ideal for beginners to digital photography and those ... ...enough to carry for a long time, but substantial enough to prevent all but the worst 'camera-shake' - and a piece of cake to upload your photos to a PC via the supplied Camedia CD software.
Taking photos using the AUTO function is simply a matter of point and shoot, letting the camera make all the decisions. After a while you will probably wish to be more creative with photography, and the C725 offers many options such as MANUAL, SHUTTER PRIORITY, ...

Advantages: Price, picture quality, ease of use Disadvantages: Short video, blurry zoom on high settings
I received this camera a few years ago- it was a fairly good camera then and it still is. For a camera with 3.2 megapixels, the quality of photo is quite impressive. I have received compliments on the clarity of my pictures using this camera. I do not see a big difference between the pictures I can take with this as opposed to one with even 7 megapixels. It is a good, portable size, and offers a fair amount of basic features, such as macro close-ups, ... ...My only complaints would be that the zoom can be a little blurry on the higher settings, and that- depending on the size of the picture card you use- the video setting only takes very short recordings with no sound. However, I have never really needed a video recorder, so this has proven to be an excellent camera for my needs for travelling and everyday photos. All for an excellent price! ...

Advantages: Digital Camera with viewing monitor Disadvantages: Zoom is Digital and not mechanical
I bought my Olympus 5 years ago. It was my first digital camera, and is STILL my digital camera! First I want to say that the construction of this camera is top quality because my camera has been totally abused this past 5 years, and it still works perfectly. I have dropped it, stepped on it, found the lense cover to be open for long, (months) periods of time. The finish has been rubbed off the front where you slide the cover open to turn on the ... ...I can view my subject in either the window viewfinder or use the monitor. The screen also allows you to edit your pictures after you take them with a digital zoom, or you can delete them altogether if you dont like it. The camera comes with a 8mb Smartmedia card which is fine for beginners, but if you prefer a higher resolution then upgrading to the 128mb card will allow you to take and store more photos with a higher quality for printing. This is ...
