Good value for the money
Review of Canon PowerShot A650 IS by
groovykarma
Advantages: user friendly
Disadvantages: little complicated
This camera is good for the novice. You need to keep the instruction book open and ready to refer to though. I have found it to have very clear and concise instructions that are easy to follow. There were no 'red eyes' to touch up in the photos. I was able to start taking pictures within a few minutes of opening package.
I have had the camera a few months and still can not figure out how to prevent the 'wash out' from the auto flash though. You ...

Canon Powershot G9 - A camera worth having
Review of Canon PowerShot G9 by
jasonlead
Advantages: 12.1 megapixels, hot shoe, auto ISO setting for novices, 6 x optical zoom, shoot in RAW
Disadvantages: Slow shutter speed, battery length quite short

There ... ...be produced. I have found this particularly useful when using a tripod.

One drawback I have found is that the shutter speed is not quite as fast as in standard SLR cameras. ...
