Canon Elph SD1100
Review of Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS DIGITAL ELPH by xDcal18

Advantages: easy transfer to comp.
Disadvantages: delicate but so are most of the others

This is my second digital camera I've owned and I think this is an awesome camera. I mean obviously there are more expensive and better cameras out on the market that can do more but for what I was looking for (ability to take pictures and put on the computer) it was great and at a reasonable price. It hooks up to the computer very easily with only one installation disc and photos transfer over quickly. It took me a while to figure out how to save ... Read review

Nice little camera
Review of Canon PowerShot SD850 IS Digital ELPH by sierra0278

Advantages: Small size, fast start up
Disadvantages: Picture quality not 100%

I have owned a Canon PowerShot SD 850 IS for a few months now. I got it because of how small and easy to use it seemed. I wanted to be able to throw it in my diaper bag and always have it available for important moments. It has a very fast start up and is ready to take a picture very quickly. I find it to be a nice camera but the picture quality is not what I expected. If you aren't planning on getting a lot of pictures printed and just want them ... Read review

The Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Elph
Review of Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital ELPH by dexter486

Advantages: Great Features, Easy to Use, Great Quality Photos, Good Battery Life and Storage Options, Size
Disadvantages: Some Flash Drop Off, Rechargable Battery Pack,

The Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Elph is a great camera. When researching digital cameras online prior to making my purchase of this camera, I was surprised to find so many features in such a little package. I was worried when I ordered this camera as I had read a couple of moderate reviews; however I have been completely satisfied with the camera. It is easy to use and comes with some great features usually reserved for cameras in slightly larger ...
...liked are; first, there is a small amount of flash drop off in late night pictures so it would have been nice to have a bit stronger flash (however it still takes a really great picture). Second, this camera comes with a rechargeable (replaceable) battery which I have never been partial to; I would have preferred standard replaceable AA or AAA batteries. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for great vacation or family event photos ... Read review

The Canon A570 IS experience
Review of Canon PowerShot A570 IS by zantaz

Advantages: Versatile, good auto presets and plenty of manual settings, image stabilisation, face tracking available
Disadvantages: Image stabilisation less effective under low light, flash quickly saps battery strength

Ah...first camera I bought myself. Had it for a few months, and all's well so far. Almost. On the bright side, this camera offers lots of features for occasional snapshots which I use it primarily for. I especially like the landscape/scenery mode, managed to get almost perfect color reproduction and detail in outdoor shots on bright, sunny days. For serious tweaking, it offers manual controls like aperture, speed and exposure settings but I've rarely ...
...have presets that cover most situations too. The optical image stabilization is a big plus, and I found it to be very effective provided you have good enough lighting. One thing I experienced is that if you press the button halfway too long when focusing, the image stabilisation won't work as effectively, even in adequate lighting and fairly slow-moving / static objects. Face tracking is fast and accurate most of the time. However, if you prefer ... Read review
