Canon Powershot G9 - A camera worth having
Review of Canon PowerShot G9 by
jasonlead
Advantages: 12.1 megapixels, hot shoe, auto ISO setting for novices, 6 x optical zoom, shoot in RAW
Disadvantages: Slow shutter speed, battery length quite short
This is a great overall compact camera with a high standard of 12.1 megapixels. The camera enables you to shoot in RAW for easy editing. It is quite an easy to use camera but at first it takes a novice a while to get to grips with it.
Manual and custom shooting settings are present which enable you to do some pretty serious portraits. A hot shoe is on the top of the camera so you can mount an external flash - great for low-light photography!
There ... ...be produced. I have found this particularly useful when using a tripod.
The camera has a 6 x optical zoom which is more than enough in my opinion for a compact camera. If you want the camera to be more telephoto then an external lens may be attached.
One drawback I have found is that the shutter speed is not quite as fast as in standard SLR cameras. ...

CANON POWERSHOT
Review of Canon PowerShot SD950 IS Digital ELPH by
corazon124
Advantages: very good pictures
Disadvantages: very expensive
As has become tradition in the Digital Elph line, the top model, SD950 IS included, sports a rugged titanium body. The right side has a slight inward curve to provide a comfortable grip. With your middle finger in that nook and your pointer finger on the shutter button, your thumb naturally rests on the left of the mode dial, which slopes downward to the left and positions so your thumb rests solidly between it and the raised edge surrounding the ... ...the rest of the camera's buttons, except for the on/off button located to the left of the shutter and its surrounding zoom ring. The play button is recessed a little more than I'd normally like, but that's probably to prevent accidental presses, which never occurred during my field tests, and I didn't have trouble pressing it when I wanted to. ...

High-definition from the compact
Review of Kodak EASYSHARE V1253 by
poloda451
Advantages: The recording and video screen
Disadvantages: Must improve some functions
...regard to digital cameras and Kodak have my preferences I am surprised with many of its models, as well as confidence in the brand I have. The Kodak EasyShare V1253 is a very attractive design and its 12-megapixel resolution plus a huge screen are the foundations on which this camera is maintained. This compact enters the realm of high definition posibiltando not only view the photos on a TV HD through an optional basis, as the Kodak HDTV dock, but ... ...720p, or , With a resolution of 1270 x 720 pixels. Step to describe the video that was more surprising, as well as recording in high definition is the possibility of using the optical zoom to record video sequences. This is nothing new but only other cameras have digital zoom at the time of recording videos. I am not describing a camcorder but it already appears that offers an unsurpassed quality video with stereo sound, color and sharpness as few. ...

My third eye
Review of Kodak EASYSHARE V1233 by
caler456
Advantages: Ease of use, quality of photos, video
Disadvantages: Software advertising, so battery warning
...are already new models from Kodak beyond this. They gave me 15 days of testing before sealing the guarantee so that it could return or exchange chamber where I am not convinced. So IMAGINA; during those 15 days I took the camera always with me, taking photos all and all, day and night. I have this camera since relatively recently, but I have already used enough to talk about my impressions of it. And since I am not an expert in photography, nor will ...
