Olympus SP-550 Ultra Zoom-Full of Satisfaction
Review of Olympus SP-550 Ultra Zoom by
rar2105
Advantages: amazing zoom ratio, durable, easy to use, high sensitivity ISO
Disadvantages: none
...the inevitable effects of camera-shake, Olympus have wisely included a Dual Image Stabilisation system, plus there's an extensive ISO range of 50-5000.
Camera performance was average in most respects. The SP-550UZ takes about 2.7 seconds to turn on, which is fairly typical. Focus times are decent at wide-angle or in good light, but sluggish at the telephoto end of the lens, or in low light situations. The LCD and EVF also tended to "blow out" when ... ...JPEGs, but you can expect to wait 5 seconds between RAW photos. The SP-550 has tons of continuous shooting modes, though they all come with a list of qualifications. The regular continuous mode takes just three shots in a row at a sluggish 1.2 frames/second. If you want to use either of the two high speed modes you'll need to lower the resolution to 3 Megapixel (for 8 frames/second) or 1.2 Megapixel (for 14 frames/second). Be warned that these images ...

Olympus SP-560 UZ
Review of Olympus SP-560 UZ by
bazoeqi
Advantages: good body design
Disadvantages: Much slower response than the competition
*Shooting raw images for more experienced, auto settings for less experienced, excellent images, not clumsy for such a large lens, overall a great experience.
*Superlong, yet wide lens; manual exposure controls; good body design; supports wireless flash.
*Attractive design. Solid image quality.
*I really love this camera. I have shot several thousand pics with it so far and am really happy with the results. I compared this camera back-to-back ...

Great Digital Camera
Review of Olympus CAMEDIA C 770 Ultra Zoom by
coolguy007
Advantages: Good picture quality, good audio recording, various image quality and other uncountable features
Disadvantages: Once you bought it you'll want to keep it forever.
The Olympus CAMEDIA C-770 Ultra Zoom, I believe, is a great piece of technology. I have been using it since last 2 years. I would rate it as the best digital camera. It is not only beautiful in looks but also great in performance. It comes with a variety of features such as 4 mega pixels, 4x digital zoom, 10x optical zoom, MPEG 4 movie mode. It allows picture editing and printing feature. Also it also has a panorama feature, wherein you can take ... ...view.
The 10x optical and 4x digital zoom make a total of gigantic 40x zoom, allowing you to take great quality pictures even from distance. There are automatic as well as manual settings options. There is also an option to select for the flash intensity, allowing you to adjust the flash intensity depending on the light available. You can even take great quality pictures in the total darkness, by adjusting the flash intensity at its full capacity.

Not quite ready for a full SLR
Review of Olympus SP-510 UZ by
Nancy58
Advantages: Easy to use, SLR syle
Disadvantages: Slow focus in low light
I purchased the 510 UZ to replace my 750 UZ after it was dropped. The 510UZ is easy to use and produces good quality pictures. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an Ultra Zoom camera. The 510 replaced to 750, one change they made was in the lens. Unfortunately this was not a good choice. Focus ability and low level light quality decreased with this smaller lens. However without the comparison I would not know, so still a good lens. ... ...in low level light. Can be a p If you are looking for an SLR type camera with the ability to point and shoot, shoot videos or play with manual controls, this is a good choice. Uses 4 AA batteries, that last a long time, especially if you are not using the LCD viewer to take pictures. I recommend using rechargable batteries and keep an extra set charged. ...
