Advantages: fast, robust, reliable, great for programming Disadvantages: could use more installed RAM
The DC5700 Pentium Dual Core E2160 is another great unit in the DC5700 series of machines that I have tested at work.
From a programming perspective this machine has definitely delivered.
- Visual Studio 2005 and later, runs very fast. Compile and build times are super fast.
- SQL queries run very fast compared to the previous Compaq Evo I was using (Pentium 4).
- Space is never a problem. Comes with 80 GB hard disc space - Microsoft office suite ... ...The Intel Core 2 Duo processor definitely adds to the overall smooth experience. At any time I have over 25 windows open yet I have barely witnessed any stalling when minimizing or maximising windows. New windows openly almost instantly and maybe attributed to the Windows XP operating system loaded into it.
