Review of HP Workstation xw4600 - Core 2 Duo E6850 3 GHz by Pykeechaineee

Advantages: Good
Disadvantages: None

Workstations are funny things, really. Defined as a step above a run-of-the-mill desktop PC and a step below a server, the workstation niche has seen prices creep down ever so slightly over the past few years. As with everything in computer-land, prices just keep on falling as the equipment keeps getting more powerful. (For those of you who aren' t grizzled old fogies in the world of computer science, workstations are usually set apart from regular ... Read review

Dependable
Review of HP Pavilion Elite m9150f - Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz by Pykeechaineee

Advantages: Good
Disadvantages: None

It is little harder to install XP to a SATA hdd on Intel Chipset motherboard. You should have an option in BIOS setup to switch hdd controller from SATA mode to IDE,or perhaps a "Both" setting. If not you will have to load the driver during install or slipstream it into a new XP cd. ------------- XP drivers. Very good computer for home and work
Review of HP Pavilion Elite m9160f - Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66 GHz by miro

Advantages: His processor, memory
Disadvantages: Operating System

Excellent computer at a price fair enough. If you are looking for home computer or a small office computer that has an excellent performance, there is no doubt this is your option to buy. His memory will allow you to work with heavy programs at the same time, and your processor will give you the enough speed for that. There is no doubt too, that this computer was built to work with multimedia files, you do things very easy with its media center, ...
...one place, lets you burn DVDs, organize and easily find any. The video card is very good, so we will charge you favorite games with very heavy graphics and you can enjoy without breaks in the trial. It also has a wireless LAN card. I´m a graphic designer and I´m so happy with this computer In conclusion it is a very good computer to the center of home entertainment. ... Read review

Powerhouse, budget gamer's dream!
Review of Dell XPS 420 by tousif1988

Advantages: Can play the latest games, fast boot - up, reliable, runs cool, runs quietly
Disadvantages: Price is a little steep, not all games are compatible with Quad Core processors

...built XPS 420 directly from Dell which contains a 2.40GHz Quad Core processor, 4GB RAM, an Nvidia GeForce 9800GT, and all the other good stuff a computer needs. I ordered it late night on a Sunday, and I had it setup and working by the Thursday. Best of all? Shipping was free! Between pressing the power button and the computer being ready to use, you are looking at around 30 seconds. This includes me entering my password to log on. I see this as ...
...hadn't been for the current Dell offer and a discount code I had at the time. I will admit, I wouldn't have paid £920 for the system, no chance! Since starting the computer for the first time, I haven't had a single problem with it that wasn't caused by a faulty disk or my lack of patience. I would recommend it to anyone, even gamers. ...
