Nice setup. Lots of processing power and future performance expansion, since full speed isn't realized with existing configuration. Graphics and sound capability much better than I expected, can actually play some games out of the box. Couldn't build a system for less money. Cons: 32bit OS on 64bit hardware. ...to troubleshoot with help from HP I returned this computer to the store too and picked up another computer that was totally different than this one. My new computer is a quad core Pentium and it works just fine. I think this may be a situation where the hardware isn't compatible with Windows Vista as advertised. It is little harder to install XP to a SATA hdd on Intel Chipset motherboard.You should have an option in BIOS setup to switch hdd controller from SATA mode to IDE,or perhaps a "Both" setting.
