...As computers become more complex, a bigger screen is needed to keep up with all the multi-tasking.
There are studies that link larger monitors to higher productivity, and I have found this to be the case in my own experience designing websites. The Dell3007WFP-HC gives the user the ability to easily fit two applications side-by-side, which makes editing and previewing extremely easy.
The picture quality is very sharp, though it is not a very bright monitor. Compared to it's little 24" brother, it is a much darker screen, with a different colour profile.
The bad points are quite obvious after little use. There is only one DVI port, no VGA or S-VIDEO connections like the 24". The monitor gets quite hot, and does warm up a small room. I also found the hardware screen settings to be lacking - there is not much control at all.

The backlight is slightlight uneven.
The price is quite high although not bad for the monitors size.
Mine came with no dead pixels but Dell has a customer satisfaction guarantee and you can return it as many times as you want.
Overall I'm glad I spent the extra money. Was plug and play, up and running in 5 mins. Large desktop for multi tasking having several programs running spread out over the screen. Massive resolution for gaming with amazing graphics. Large screen combine with a TV card replaced my TV....

...This is a good quality product that offers good value for money in the very short term. Although as with most electronic products, the value will deteriorate over time and should be able to get a cheaper version next year. It incorporates most of the latest features and technology that is currently available on the market. Unfortunately it contributes significantly to global warming.
Dell offer an industry-standard three-year warranty with next business day exchange. This is a bit of a luxury item an will burn a hole in your pocket of £1470. I purchased mine on line from www.dell.co.uk.
