Ubuntu 7.01 installed without a hitch (including WLAN support). Sound and 3D graphics support (aka Compfiz) was enabled after 2 simple text file adds.
Battery life is around 3:30 hours (with backlight at 75%25).
Performance (with 1 GB or RAM) is more than satisfactory.
All in all - a very positive Linux laptop experience!

I've owned this system before, its alright but once I updated to a D830 it put that system to same. Much better graphics, faster, and more reliable. Its good for kids in school to own.
