I bought this laptop for my ex as a Christmas present. At the time, she was still in school and needed a good lapotop to take to class to take notes on. Her main needs out of the laptop was to be able to write papers and surf the internet. She occasionally downloaded music and/or pictures onto it. She did not have any complaints out of this particular model. I ordered this off of Dell.com and was able to customize it with the amount of ram and hard drive space that I wanted. When buying a laptop off of the Dell website, you can decide what goes into it to suit your individual needs. If you are looking for an average priced laptop, then this may be worth checking out.
