I purchased the 1720 due to the size of the screen & I have no regrets. It has a beautiful picture and when watching a DVD it was clearer than my TV. The sound could have been better but considering this is a computer and not a sound system it was ok. I am still learning my way around on it and everyday is a learning experience as it is Windows Vista. I would definately recommend this to anyone who is interested in a laptop.

This is the best laptop I have owned to date. It is incredibly fast and works extremely well with wireless internet. It's also very easy to use
The picture is amazing and I love watching movies on it. Unfortunately the DVD drive in my computer is very temperamental. I've had the computer over a year and now it plays cds or dvds on select days and occasions. I'm not sure why it does this, and every time it refuses to register a dvd or cd in the drive ... ...next day it will magically work again. That's the only problem I have with the computer and it's definitely not enough of an issue for me to dislike the product. I'll put up with it because I don't watch many dvds on it now that I have a home dvd player. ...
