Advantages Fast, big and bright screen, battery life good enough for daily use, build quality Disadvantages Spartan extras, expensive to add addisional hardware
...I bought my DellX51v last month after using a HP Jornada 710 for 6 years. The Dell is an extremely competent machine. It has one of the largest displays in the business and it is bright and clear. I am happy with the battery life... lasting a week with intermittent use, but I suspect that power users will probably opt for a second battery, since I suspect you could get between 6-8 hours continuous use. The docking station does have an extra charging bay for the extra battery to be charged.
The Dell is fast, but I do experience some sluggishness sometimes. I suspect it has more to do with Windows Mobile 5 and the automatic CPU throttle than processing power. I opt to keep my Dell's processor to run at full speed (624Mhz). It has unbelievable video playback and manages to playback wmv files with no problem. To playback AVI, DivX...

Advantages compact, intuitive Disadvantages low battery life
...I purchased this PDA because at the time i did not have a laptop and i wanted something for browsing whilst not at a PC.
My first impressions of this product were that it is really user friendly. within minutes i had registered it to myself and was browsing the internet wirelessly (via my own wireless router).
Look and feel: i think this is a quite good looking product, it fits nicely in your hand and the pen that comes with it is surprisingly sturdy and doesnt get sticky if you have it in your hand for a while.
Memory: the base memory ont he PDA is of an ok size, enough to store documents and photos; but i would reccomend upgrading the memory on it, which is really easy to do and quite cheap.
Ease of use: i think its quite intuitive. navigation is smooth and stable and the screen on mine has survived a couple of droppings and...

Advantages Lots of features, fast, top of the line PDA. Disadvantages Price, Battery.
...The DellAximX51v is Dells fastest, best and last PDA, running the latest (at the time, now superceeded) Windows Mobile 55, running the fastest Intel XScale Pocket CPU, running at 624 MHz, this is a powerhouse. It has 128 MB of onboard ROM for saving files onto, and has 64 MB of RAM.
These specs probably don't mean much, so i'll explan
The CPU Is VERY fast, fast enough so that when combined with the onboard GFX card it can play 3D Games very nicely, making much better graphics than any other PDA has before. It's onboard ROM means you can save some files onto it, but with a 2 GB SD card costing as little as £10, this isn't an amazingly useful point. The 64 MB of RAM means you can have more than one application open at once, however considering this is meant to be a power house, other PDA's have 128 MB of RAM meaning they can run even...
