...This is my third PDA and in my opinion its by far the best. The DellAximx50v has a fatastic VGA screen that provides a very crisp display. I am using my PDA mainly as an all in one solution to my entertainment and productivity needs. As a result I have found the SD and CF Card expansion slots very useful. I have a 1GB SD card and a 4GB CF Card installed and have a selection of movies, music and games on both. The PDA handles the lot with ease, sound quality via the standard earphone socket does the job and the video playback is good enough for the screen size. The inclusion of wi fi and bluetooth is a great help and allows you to access your email and the internet with ease.
My only gripe with the unit has been with some lock ups with the unit which has forced me to reset the PDA, that said I have owned three PDA's in the past...

...at the moment, so it can handle media files and other processor intension tasks with ease.
Installed ROM: 128MB. This is where the PDA's operating system and application software is built into. You see Pocket Word and other pocket programs that loads up with Pocket Windows? It's all here, so even when you fully reset the PDA and get rid of all data, the operating system etc will still be here and safe.
Installed RAM: 64MB. This memory is shared by the PDA from personal storage to required memory to run programs. It doesn't look like much, but PDA programs are usually very small in size i.e. 40KB, so the RAM is plenty enough.
Graphics: Intel 2700G graphics processor with 16MB video RAM. This is one of the main selling points of the Dellx50v. It has a standalone graphics chip with its own memory to render 2D and 3D graphics. That's right...

...The X50v is the latest in the DellAxim pda range. To make things confusing Dell has 3 different X50 models, the low end X50 416MHz, the mid range X50 520MHz and the high end X50v 624MHz.
The X50v differs from the other two by having a 624MHz XScale processor, 128mb ROM, 3.7" VGA screen, wifi and Bluetooth enabled and an Intel 2700G multimedia accelerator with 16mb video memory.
This all adds up to one powerful little machine.
The large 3.7" VGA screen has a 480x640 resolution with vibrant colors and excellent brightness. Once you see the X50v VGA screen you'll wonder why you've been using a 240x320 QVGA screen. The VGA screen allows for greater detail which can reduce the font size on screen, to compensate for this there is a font size setting.
The level of brightness can also be adjusted for optimal viewing depending...
