The unit's direct-brew system grinds beans instantly before brewing to produce the freshest espresso or coffee. Plus, it delivers 15 bars of pressure and Thermoblock technology for even heat distribution. For added convenience, the machine's digital programmable menu settings allow for adjusting the start time, auto shut-off, and the clock, as well as adjusting the temperature of the coffee and water hardness. Choose from five coffee-strength settings--extra-mild, mild, regular, strong, and extra strong--plus three cup-size options, which include ristretto (small), espresso (medium), and American coffee (large). The machine also includes a 25-ounce milk container and two detachable lids--one for frothed milk for cappuccino and the other for steamed milk for latte. Simply place a cup under the nozzle and press the button for perfect cappuccino or latte every time. Amounts of frothed/steamed milk and coffee are also adjustable to accommodate individual tastes. Even more, the entire milk container detaches easily so it can be placed in the refrigerator, and dishwasher-safe parts make cleanup a snap.
