Dark Sector is a pretty good game. I do know people who took part in the production of it and I must say I was really stunned by the way they managed to morph, in my opinion, a slightly childish idea, into a very serious game. ...... And then trips over its feet on the final lap. This is actually one of PS3's prettiest games. Its moody, horror-lite environments are huge, and ripple with gothic detail brought to life by some thunderous action. If your familiar with Gears Of War on Xbox 360, you're in the small ball park, except Dark Sector packs much more colour. Straight shootouts aren't hugely dynamic, but the cover system proves reliably solid. Then there are Tenno's growing mutant powers. Soon, you develop the power to steer the glaive mid-flight with the six axis, or charge it up with elemental powers (fire, ice, electricity) that turn it into a deadly bomb. Hayden himself generates a shield that flings projectiles back at attackers, and eventually gains full-on invisibility for skulking around and performing crushing one-hit kills. ~~~~~GLAIVE DIGGER...
