DYMO has done it again. This handy little label maker is not much bigger than a cordless phone and it is loaded with a lot of features.
First, it can print in 5 different sizes ranging from extra small to extra large. There are 10 different options for printing borders around text making all of your printing as unique as you would like it to be. Not to mention the font can be underlined, italicized, bold and even shadow printed. The printing options are pretty good considering this little machine only cost $30. The main downfall to the font options is that there is only one font available. This can be made up for with its versatility in the previously mentioned features.
Another great way to individualize your printing is the very good selection of tape color and product offerings. Dymo offers green, yellow, white, blue and red tape all in 1/2" size. They also offer a magnetic tape and even an iron on tape. This is a pretty good selection considering the small size and portability of the LetraTag.
Another nice feature of the LetraTag is the keyboard made up of soft rubber buttons. They seem to be close together but after using them they are just the right distance apart. The soft gray buttons are lined up alphabetically from top to bottom and left to right which makes it almost effortless to type.
Overall, the LetraTag has a lot of options that can all be previewed on the large digital screen and even printed on the almost endless printing tape. After several months of use, I still haven't changed the 4 AA batteries and am glad I never purchased the power cord for it.
