Don't even think twice if you get this dvr when you join dish-net you don't have any concerns. I am a very objective person when I tell someone about a product and I don't have anything bad to say about this dvr. From the button placement to the dvr features over 90 hours of recording. I have one of these too. It works great! I like it better than a vcr. You can tape on it with out a tape and it does the same as a vcr. It plays, records, pause, fastfoward and even rewinds. I have never had any problems out of it. It works so good. It shows really good pictures and has nice sound quality. It is also very easy to use and even the kids can use it. This is a fantastic DVR! Picture perfect quality and sound. My Husband has this DVR and a VCR does not hold a candle to it. VCR players are a thing of the past. He watches Nascar and he always records it due to his work schedule. When we watch the race on the DVR it is like being at the track!
