...great in its performance is Samsung DVD 1080P8. I have Bought this DVD player to go along with my new Samsung TV. It has some discrepency too. The DVD player works fine but I wish it had a USB port (even cheaper Philips players have them). Playing files in other formats (like divx) is a pain since you now need to burn them on a DVD or CD.

With my experience with Philips DVP 5140 good features and could play different kind of CD even if it is burn CD's unlike other player it will not read. Also just a slim type of DVD player, high-definition picture quality , clear resolution player , at height of 1.5 inches compatible to any TV set and even All Day long you use it it will not falter. My son plays his DVD / CD everyday starting morning till night time he use it just his background ... ...exciting.Its already 1 1/2 year now but still working and give a quality result.
