Not only is your data protected with your choice of RAID 1, 5 or 10, but you can also manage your file server easily and remotely with a web browser over your company's network. What's more, the FlexStor-SSD 900 Xeon RAID NAS comes standard with a CD ROM, eliminating the hassle of trying to hook up an external CD ROM to your NAS server every time you want to install a new piece of software like many other NAS appliances currently on the market. Eight of these drives are used for the RAID array, and two additional drives are mirrored together for the NAS operating system. This gives you the full RAID storage capacity for your data. Plus, this dedicated file server can be easily expanded to capacities up to 9 TeraBytes by daisy-chaining it with either the DataMax 8200 RAID or the DataMax 14000 RAID subsystems. If a separate Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is used with each cord, the power drawn during an electricity outage will be shared between the two UPS. Thus, each UPS will be able to run longer before their batteries are drained than if only one UPS was used. Or, if one UPS fails for some reason, your system will still be up and running because of the second cord going to a working UPS.
