As an added bonus, the Falcon RTSS 900 comes with a cold-swap disk drive and tray installed in the 9th drive bay. This drive and tray is identical to the other 8 drives and trays already running in your unit. If one of you drives should ever have problem, you can easily swap it with your cold-swap disk drive and tray. By facilitating hardware to hardware data transfers, Falcon RTSS 900 overcomes bottlenecks common to RAID and other conventional storage systems. Data transfer rates are independent of host and operating system performance. An onboard processor and real-time operating system ensures uninterrupted data recording by dynamically allocating available drives in the disk array.
