I just have to have my coffee! The fresher, the better. Let me tell you, I used to buy my freshly ground coffee beans at the grocery store, having ground them myself. What a pain! Not to mention, I spilled coffee beans all over the floor once. Not anymore! I had purchased a different brand prior to owning the Cuisinart. Not satisfied, I shopped around and found this one. It's very easy to use, with a safety lock that stops grinding if the top is removed. You choose how finely you want the beans ground by how long you keep it going. Cord storage in the base keeping the countertop clear. Easy to clean, just wipe the stainless steel bowl out. The top is dishwasher safe. Grinds enough beans for a 12 cup coffee maker. Great price too. The last grinder I had became a crayon grinder for a kindergarten class I used to teach. This Cuisinart does the job!
