...would say that they generally involve some type of crime, whether it be crimes of the heart, passion or crimes against other people. There is then quite a lot of the book devoted to a trial involving the lawyers, those on trial etc and the people around them. She always does a great job of developing different characters Her books are a step above Chick Lit as we know it but I think on whole they are quite easy to read, very engaging as I find most of them to be page turners and want to keep on reading and in most cases I would say these books are aimed at women although I can see men reading them too. She has been quoted as saying in the back of her book that, "Personally I like books that make you think, books you're still wondering about three days after you finish them; books you hand to a friend and say "read this, so we can talk... ...has occurred to you or your family. The first thing that struck me when I was watching this movie, and call me a sexist male if you wish; was just how fantastically attractive Sissy Spacek is. In the past I had seen her in movies such as Carrie, Coal Miner’s Daughter, and Crimes Of The Heart; where in honestly she would not register on your scale of someone you would regard as beautiful. Here however even at her most dishevelled moments she still looks amazing. Her performance is totally convincing as the much loved but down trodden wife of Charlie. Spacek bounces nicely off Lemon’s performance, a relationship that begins as pure hatred. Ed blames Beth for Charlie’s arrival in Chile even though its never explained whose great idea it was. Advantages great action and great humour

...'two guys become friends to fight crime and win the hearts of the nation', this movie doesn't disappoint. Martin Lawrence's, (he of Bad boys and Big Mommas house 1 & 2) plays his role as Earl brilliantly, coming across as a white-man hating paranoid guy who thinks all white people are racists, especially white policemen… playing the part so comically and with so much passion… Doubling him with the rather serious style of Steve Zhan character, (and his very odd looking facial hair), gives the movie a good mix of humour and entertainment… In all, a great entertaining action movie with a simple story to follow… it will have you laughing in parts and almost gasping in others… Would I recommend this….? Yes I certainly would. It has everything a good movie needs, action, thrills, a little romance, (of sorts) and a good plot... Read review
