To me the Creative Zen is better than a IPod. Reason being, I like the size and shape, the overall look and features, the screen size is gorgeous. It holds video, music, pictures, and the screen resolution is gorgeous. The features, volume, brightness, background wallpaper etc is all customizable which I love. The music can be organized into playlists, played randomly on DJ mode, played by artist or genre or many other ways. The radio works well and has many presets available that you can save onto the player. The 4gb holds ALOT of music, video files and data I have had mine for over six months and still haven't filled it and I have plenty of music and videos on it already. The software included is very easy to use and helps format your playlists, organize files, even to change your video format if need be.
